What is the difference between Microblading and Shading Powder Brows?

Microblading is where the ink is implemented into the skin to appear as "hair strokes" -You can choose to have a very feathery look, or a more full look

Shading is where the ink is implemented into the skin to appear as a soft shadow. When it comes to shading, you can choose whether to do it light-dense. I only do Microblading with shading or just Microblading. I do not do shading on it's own because I feel that microblading is necessary to make the brows look more natural.

--If you are unsure about whether or not you want to add shading, remember that we can always do without it at your first session and then incorporate it into the second session once you have a better idea.

Why is your booking done by E-mail?

I like to communicate with my clients one on one before booking a date- this is to make sure I put you in a perfect spot that will ensure enough time to do everything we need to.

What is a "patch test" and do I need one?

A patch test is a tiny stroke done behind the ear a week prior to your appointment to see whether or not you are allergic to tattoo pigment. It is not common to do a patch test, and VERY rare to be allergic to micropigment- however I do provide a patch test service if you are concerned. I have never had a client have an allergic reaction to micropigment.

Due to product and sanitation cost- patch test appointment are $30. This does not go towards the cost of your entire procedure and MUST be booked when booking your first complete appointment.

Should I book a consultation?

It is not necessary to have a consultation for Microblading, however, I can do one if you want. There is loads of information given on my site, as well as a lot of communication done via email prior to your appointment to make sure you are comfortable. If you are worried you are not a candidate, you also have the option of sending me a picture of your brows with no fill on them. Honestly- almost everyone is a candidate so there shouldn't be much reason to worry. Please review all of the information above before determining. If you would like me to send you a very detailed PDF going over exactly how your appointment will go and what to expect- please email "First client info" to BloominBrows@gmail.com

What do I need to know when booking my first appointment?
Please reference “*” on my Booking Page

Is it painful? Can I numb prior?

Everyones pain tolerance is different .Majority of clients think its a breeze, but I have a small amount of clients who have to repeat “beauty is pain” through their appointment. I do use numbing cream, and I use it in-between each pass (I do about 4-5 passes on each brow) so it does get more and more numb throughout your appointment. This is a very sensitive area of the face, so to expect a little discomfort is normal. Please read your numbing options here if you are worried about pain!

PERSONALLY- I do not think it is bad, and I have experienced it with no numbing! I absolutely would do it again if I had to!

Can this be done under 18 with a Parent?

I do not perform on anyone under 18, with or without a legal guardian.

What should I expect after we book my first appointment?

Expect a confirmation email sent 1 week prior to your appointment

This E-mail is to not only remind you of your appointment time- but it will also go over loads of info on your appointment. It will also include an attachment of your consent form (does not need to printed, just reviewed), as well as my office location and how to find me!

Can I do waxing/threading/tweezing prior?

Yes! It must be done no later than 3 days to your appointment. If you have unruly or “fuzzy” brows, I recommend cleaning them up. I do tweezing throughout your appointment when needed, but the area is very tender. I’ll be honest, most people hate this part more than the actual blading. The more cleaned up and closer to the shape you want, the better the experience will be for you.

What is my aftercare?

Aftercare is to be used for 10 days and will be provided by me. Your aftercare bag will include: an aftercare card going over all of the do’s and don’ts and details how to use the products I provide: a cleanser and medicine gauze to wipe the brows morning and night, an ointment to keep on the brows for week one and a cream to use as needed for week two. You will save your cleanser bottle so I can refill it at your second appointment.

Why does this procedure look different on some people?

Please remember that everyone is so different. We all have different skin textures and we all accept pigment differently. Same for standard tattoos. AGE is a huge one. When the skin is “loose” and sagging more because it has lost its elasticity, the stroke are going to “bleed” a little bit more than someone with tight skin. Very oily skin is another thing to consider. When the skin produces a lot of oil, it is harder for the pigment to stay in the strokes the same way as someone who has dry skin.

Success! Message received.
